I got a tweet from someone who doesn't seem to be making a lot of Adsense money. I took a look at their site and I only saw one line of text ads at the top of their site. If you want to earn a lot of Adsense money then you are going to have to optimize your site for Adsense. What that means is that you should use their limit of having three blocks of ads on your site.

Take a look at this blog and you will see 2 blocks of adsense ads on the side of this blog, plus their should be another block at the bottom of this blog. I have optimized this site as far as the adsense ads go and it is working well for me.

Of course it helps tremendously if your site has an interest to the people that are visiting it. The more interest in your site, the more potential Adsense money you will earn!

But in this particular case, if a lot of Adsense money then you have to optimize your site so that you can include as many Adsense ads as possible without making your site look too ad-driven.

You can use this blog as an example of a site / blog that has been optimized for Adsense.
I found an online article talking about some people who have had their adsense earnings garnished by the government!

If you make over a certain amount (I think it's $400 for US residents) of adsense money then you have to report those earnings to the government as part of your income! If you don't then you may be subject to what other people have been going through as far as having their adsense earnings garnished by the government!

Personally I have to tell you that I do report my adsense income every year when I file my taxes.

Now after reading the article I'm glad that I do!

Here is a quote from the article:

"I personally never knew that the government goes to Google to withhold AdSense earnings from a publisher. But it happens.
For example if you get a 1% Google Adsense click through rate then that means that only one percent of the visitors to your Adsense site are clicking on the Google Adsense ads that are appearing on your site. In other words if 100 people visit your site than only 1 person / visitor out of your 100 visitors are clicking on your Google Adsense ads! This means that you are less likely to earn money at a higher rate!

I have also been experiencing a low click through rate with my own Google Adsense ads that are appearing on some of my sites. This doesn't happen all the time but it has happened often enough for me to notice it.

I have had periods when my Adsense click through rate was quite high and I have noted this and provided some screenshots on my The Adsense Consultant Blog.

So what are the solutions for getting a higher click through rate with your Google Adsense ads?

One of the tactics that I am experimenting with is to place higher-paying adsense ads on my sites. I have a high-paying keyword list that I am currently working with so that I can place more higher-paying keyword content on my sites so that I can earn more Google Adsense money with my Google Adsense ads. This will be an ongoing experiment of mine to see how well the higher-paying keywords will earn me more Adsense money.

Having a low click through rate means that the visitors to your site are not clicking on your Google Adsense ads. This could be for a number of reasons. Maybe the ads on your site have nothing to do with the content that is appearing on your site. Maybe your Google Adsense ads are not attractive or appealing enough to encourage visitors to click on your adsense ads.

In order to increase your adsense ads click through rate, the Google Adsense ads that appear on your site have to be related to the content that is already on your site(s).

I know that a lot of people have the Google Adsense ads on their site so that they can earn money online. But in order to earn money with Google Adsense your Google Adsense ads have to be appealing enough to encourage your site visitors to click on your Google Adsense ads.

That is how you earn money with the Google Adsense program!

Sister2brotherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717579654875305377noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5405358242106308331.post-67413326073338582792009-02-14T06:34:00.000-05:002009-03-21T06:39:32.911-04:00Changing The Size Of Your Font

Of course you can change the size of the font that appears in your blog. Like so:

this font should be large!

this font should be appearing HUGE!

See what I mean?

You have to use the coding that includes font size="+1-9"

You also have to be careful about how big you make your font because you don't want it to make your blog look bad. If you make your font too big it may break in the lines and not always word-wrap to your liking. So some fine-tuning may be necessary!

Sister2brotherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717579654875305377noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5405358242106308331.post-64081525223928934592009-01-16T00:00:00.000-05:002009-03-04T00:17:03.809-05:00Typing Like A Typewriter?

this goes back to my days when I was first learning html but if you would like your blog posts to look EXACTLY like how you type it (instead of using Blogger.com's formate) then what you want to do is add the prefix and the suffix PRE which stands for "preformatted" (I think). Like so:

I know that a lot of people really

HATE the IRS!

But you have to come to realize that they

are a necessary evil.......

Just think of what would happen if you

owed taxes but didn't pay!

The IRS WILL come after you!

There are no free government grants yet

for not paying your taxes - yet!

I took a look at the above paragraph using the preview feature and it came out exactly as I typed it!

One thing that I did notice is that you have to be very careful when using the pre format because if your lines / sentences are running too long they will get cut off!

After publishing this blog post I noticed that the ends of my long sentences were running off the side of the blog so I had to edit them to make the sentences break on separate lines so that the whole sentence can be seen in its entirety!

So be careful about that if you want to use the pre format!

Sister2brotherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717579654875305377noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5405358242106308331.post-21394993572662290222008-12-20T22:44:00.000-05:002008-12-20T22:58:26.806-05:00Using An Image As A Background?

Here's a very interesting question? Can you use a background image in your blog post?

This is something I never tried before!

This is just a test! It seems that the more text you add, the more bigger your image in the background?

Mind you this is only just a test!

I was using one of my Photobucket images to use as a test background. I'm sure given some time and patience that I could make a nice background image, add it to my photobucket account and then use it here.

But it is possible to add an image to your blog post and use it as a background!

Sister2brotherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717579654875305377noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5405358242106308331.post-41558701001934927182008-11-25T22:44:00.000-05:002008-11-28T22:47:47.608-05:00Blurry Pictures?

I noticed that some of the pictures that I uploaded to my (and my clients') blogs looked kind of blurry! This was especially so when the images were photographs of some kind. It also happens with 3D-related images as well.

At the beginning I was uploading images using the .jpg format but I found that the .png format made the images appear a lot clearer! So this is something that you may want to try when uploading images.

Sister2brotherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717579654875305377noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5405358242106308331.post-67656340839247876082008-10-05T00:39:00.000-04:002008-10-05T01:16:19.593-04:00Can You Add Pictures Side By Side?Although I rarely post more than one image to my blog posts, I saw a question asked about whether or not it was possible to add pictures so that they can be seen next to one another instead of on top of each other and if so, how could it be done? So I tried uploading a photo today just to see how well it would work out.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLLke8mDiRHl5WC21wMjuaJbhL0Id56ASRIuScllLByqomdng7udiD1GLeweGVTDnGqyuAH04VgFplYL8ZKQ622W6gqxRAGwMYNVpw7v6BLRNkpiFLqJDwt5ayM7ekss5kmOUuW8XFxhqA/s320/computerbrother.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5207701721276799586" />Here you see one of the photos that one of my clients, The Computer Brother uses on their own blog.

This is an animated .gif picture and I won't know if it will animate until I actually view this post.

But if uploading this photo goes right then that means that either Blogger.com has solved the uploading photos problem or it is just a matter of some people not being able to upload photos while other are able to.

There was a similar problem with people being able to upload photos during April and this looks like the same kind of problem.Sister2brotherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717579654875305377noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5405358242106308331.post-72671054709873140102008-05-10T00:22:00.000-04:002008-05-10T00:31:25.047-04:00Adding A Table To Your Blog Entry?I saw somebody posting about this and asking about whether its possible to add a table to one's blog post.

Well I know that one can add a table to the side of one's blog because I have done it myself but I never thought about whether or not its possible to add a table to one's blog post.

As much as I know about html and html coding, adding a table involves adding quite a few html codes.

I'm going to try to add a table below:

My Table

This is my "test" table!

This is me continuing the table

This is the end of my table!

It may interest you to know that you may not be able to see how your table looks in the "preview" mode. You will have to view your blog to see how your table turned out.Sister2brotherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717579654875305377noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5405358242106308331.post-66240590765898196112008-05-06T21:53:00.000-04:002008-05-06T21:58:50.893-04:00Testing New Blog Layouts? So many people are posting that they are having trouble when they try to add a differnt blog layout other than the ones that Blogger.com provides.
